In recent times, most companies and organizations look out for candidates with certified digital marketing skills before they are hired. It is not compulsory to enroll for digital marketing in a digital institute to gain digital skills if you don't have the financial capability, but it is necessary to stand out in the digital business world..

But for starters, you can do some research and enroll for online courses to acquire a job opportunity as a digital marketing professional. To aid your digital skills; explore Google, Hub Spot, Facebook and other platforms that offer online training and certification on Digital Marketing, Content Writing, Online Advertising and so on.

In digital marketing, you can't know it all, knowledge is vast, choose and focus on one or two key skill areas to develop your skills professionally.

How to succeed in this part:

To be a successful digital marketing professional, you have to be strategic , creative, plan well , set goals and deadlines. Always remember that in Digital Marketing, Strategy is King. Once in 3 months, create a plan and every month create a content calendar for deliveries to execute the 3 months plan you created. 

On the calendar outline your post and activities, do not post randomly, when making an online post people will only perceive your brand based on your content. Make people feel something, emotion is better than logic. Your content should be simple with humor, loyalty and trust. This gives your customers a sense of belonging to have more interest in your products or services, also it will generate more business transactions for your company. 

When your post is engaging, people will be glued to your page which will also make them to refer their friends, colleagues, partners and families  to your business page. There was a time I never knew or heard of Farmcrowdy, until my former boss kept talking about how their online platform looks good with professional touch, and when I checked they were really doing well.

Keep people interested on your page, let them always leave with something positive in their mind. Your graphic designs should have a professional touch, it is good to play with colors but don't let it get too dramatic. Always use brand colors for all graphic designs. 

Pictures should be of high quality, clear with a professional shot. Edit videos before posting, video should be clear, impactful and informative. It should not be more than 1min, from the first 5 seconds, make it intriguing and engaging because people get bored easily.

Communication is key, communicate with simple clear and direct words, do not use big grammar to confuse your audience  to avoid them checking google or dictionary to understand the message you are passing out. Always communicate with emotions, contents with emotions easily go viral.  Take note that, it is about creating lasting impact in the mind of people. 

Know your customers and understand your market niche, use the SMART rule to set your goals. Understand the metrics of all social media platforms, also learn how to use basic digital marketing tools e.g
Canva for Graphics 
Google analytics  to Monitor online activities
Mailchimp for emails
Hootsuite for Post schedule
Grammarly for Spell Check and etc.
